![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Charming outdoor spaces are built around budget friendly garden structures, including benches, pergolas, fences and a canopy. These architectural accents give your yards empty space a focal point and can make a large open space feel intimate. Picket fences can be used in shorter lengths to create cozy corners for seating or they can be used as walls to designate a garden or dining area. Pergolas come in ready made freestanding versions and can be placed in a corner to create a separate seating area. A trellis makes an ideal backdrop for a bench and can be decorated with foliage or left plain for added decor to the outside of your home. A free-standing canopy creates a sense of a room. All it takes is a level plot for it to stand on and the weather resistant fabric top will blocks the suns harsh rays. Attach a net to go around your canopy, if it doesn't already have one, for some evening enjoyment with friends or a romantic evening with a guest. Add a few special touches, such as, a rug, some special padded seating, a table and some lighting. Now you have a room outside your home to enjoy.

Children grow so quickly and so do their interests. Girls go from baby dolls to dress up to pre-teen interests. Phone in their hand and barbies on the floor. Turning a girls room from child like to pre-teen isn't very difficult. Just adding her favorite posters and a color that will grow with her will make the biggest differece. Put away the baby dolls and leave the barbies and playhouse. Update her vanity and redecorate with new curtains and bedspread and you're done. Boys are fairly easy, especially today when video games, action figures and sports play a major role. When going from baby to boy, updating colors, bedding and getting rid of the "toy box" is the simplest way. Camouflage has been very popular and has no design, so painting a part of his room with this technique is fun, appropriate and very boyish. Using shelving in a child's' room can help with keeping some organization. Decorative totes or baskets are a great storage idea. A chair and ottoman which doubles as storage will also give your child his or her own place to relax and entertain friends. Just being aware that your child is maturing is enough insight into what would interest them in the private spaces. You can adapt their interests into something inviting. |
